Auditory Processing Evaluation

Some people hear sounds clearly but still struggle to make sense of speech, especially in background noise, groups, classrooms, or fast-moving conversations. An auditory processing evaluation looks at how the brain uses sound, not just whether the ears detect it.
This evaluation may be helpful for children or adults who:
frequently ask for repetition
struggle to follow spoken directions
have trouble understanding speech in background noise
feel mentally tired after listening
passed a hearing screening but still have listening concerns
have speech, language, learning, or attention concerns where listening may be part of the picture
What to Expect
Your evaluation will include a combination of hearing testing, speech-in-noise testing, auditory processing measures, questionnaire, and a conversation about real-world listening concerns.
After the visit, you will receive clear recommendations, next steps and a educational report to share with schools as needed. These may include communication strategies, classroom or workplace accommodations, listening therapy, hearing technology, referral coordination, or follow-up care.
Not sure whether this is the right evaluation?
If you or your child can hear but still struggles to understand speech clearly, we can help determine the right next step.
